We have been able to begin processing the circulation snapshot statistics again. For faculty stats, nothing has changed. But for students, the majors are all new (they were updated when the new Student Information System went into production). What is different on our end is that we are now loading the major name into the patron record, instead of the major code (the original reason being that SIS had not provided a lookup table for major codes at the time that we started working on loading the new SIS records into Millennium, and it was just as easy to load the major name as it would have been to load the major code). However, there are still a few legacy major codes in some of the older student patron records. So along with these nice, new majors in the snapshot statistics, you’ll find a numeric major code every once-in-a-while. Those tend to be materials that are being billed and the student is long gone, the numeric major code will persist in their MAJOR/DEPT patron record field since their records are no longer being updated. A lookup table for the legacy major codes can be found here, http://digitalassets.lib.berkeley.edu/annual_statistics/circ_snapshots/2017/MajorCodes.xlsx
